And the Vols right at the bottom of the SEC. Seems to be our favorite place right now.

you serious? you expected Serrano to turn it around in two years?

you have no idea how bad Raleigh left the program.

and Serrano is recruiting great right now.

18 freshmen on the roster. Of the remaining 15 players, there are 4 pitchers with significant experience, Kidd, Saberhagen, Williams and Godley. Maddox, Wormsley, Bennett and Luther are the rest of the experienced players.

I think this illustrates how bare the cuppard was when Serrano arrived. These 18 freshmen are his first recruiting class because he really just salvaged last year's class, most were Raleigh recruits.

Of course, it's easy to let expectations soar, but as the preseason polls show, we're in the toughest conference in the country.

Based on what little I know about the next recruiting class, looks like Serrano is making up some ground which is no small feat going up against SC, Vandy, UF, etc.

With the SEC Tourney bringing in 12 teams this year, we might be able to slide in THIS year, but really, my expectations are that we might have the roster next year to compete with the big boys, we'll see.

Just excited that we're less than a month away, GBO!

No doubt it is an uphill battle in the SEC. That being said, I think CDS has the program headed in the right direction. I think anyone who say the team play last year will see significant improvement this year. Even with all of the freshmen and limited returning experience, our talent level is most definitely higher this year. Even more importantly, we have a little depth on the bench. I'm excited to watch the boys play this year! Go Big Orange!
