Kentucky goes into 2020 with one of best offensive lines in America a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award in 2019. The Cats led all power five teams
in rushing yards per game at nearly 280 and were fourth in the country in rush offense in 2019 only topped by the three service academies (Army,
Navy and Air Force) also set school records for most rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. No other team in SEC could have done what the Cats
did last season at 2-3 offensive coordinator Eddie Gran threw the playbook away and wrote a new one for Lynn Bowden the Paul Hornung Award winner.
Kentucky's O line could have three draft picks seniors Drake Jackson (center) according to Cole Cubelic best center in SEC and Landon Young. and junior
Darian Kinnard who could go to NFL at 6-5 and 350. they will throw more with Terry Touchdown this season but have a stable of three good
running backs AJ Rose, Kavioskey Smoke and Chris Rodriguez. Tennessee has been fortunate to beat Kentucky the last two seasons and Kentucky has
not won in Knoxville since 1984 17-12 and Coach Jerry Claiborne with the wide tackle six defense and Dollar Bill Ransdell at QB, Mark Higgs, Mark Logan
and NFL Hall of Famer center Dermontti Dawson. Stoops has done excellent job turning Kentucky around four straight bowls and two bowl wins (44-44) record
Kentucky is not a speed bump in SEC anymore and the rest of the leagues coaches know it if the media or fans do not.
We probably take the threat of losing to Kentucky, about as seriously as Alabama and Florida take the threat of losing to us.

UK has the best OL? We must have the best run defense then. 1st and goal to win against us in 2019 they could not get it in for the score. How freakin' good could they really be?
It was 1st and goal from the 6 yard line with 3 minutes left in the game and we even gave them a half the distance to the goal penalty in the middle of that series of downs, due to breaking the huddle with 12 players (after calling a timeout). Here is the rundown of those 4 plays by Kentucky's vaunted running attack:

1st and goal from the 6: Rodriguez runs for 1 yard.
2nd and goal from just inside the 5: Bowden runs for 2 yards.
*Tennessee penalized. The ball is moved just inside the 2.
3rd and goal from the 2: Rodriguez runs for no gain - stood up by To'oto'o.
4th and goal from the 2: Bowden runs for no gain.

Turnover on downs. Kentucky had no push at all on any of those 4 plays. That was 4 running plays for a grand total of 3 yards (not including the penalty) with the game on the line.

Didnt Georgia loose 3 starting olineman??
Apparently everybody that played in the Sugar Bowl is back except 1 guy who went to the NFL and Cade but they are getting Ben Cleveland back who rotated with Cade when healthy. They also have one of the better OL classes coming in. That's the explanation I've got and it seems to be accurate personnel wise. I checked and the two tackles they had drafted didn't play in the Sugar Bowl.

Two years ago we weren’t “fortunate”. We euthanized em!

Response to 901 Orange if you consider Kentucky a speed bump in football then Tennessee is the same thing in men's basketball.
Two years ago you had supposedly some talent and beat Kentucky in the SEC Tournament but someone named Bruce Pearl showed up
and beat you. when was the last time you won an SEC Tourney in men's basketball (1979) or before the battle of Hastings in 1066.
in hoops we are the kings and the gold standard of college basketball. I know this is a football forum but even with the cheater Pearl
picture of recruit at a barbecue you could never beat us. We could get five old ladies in Rupp Arena and beat you guys although you
did beat us in Rupp last season there was no NCAA Tourney. In 2018, you hung no banner no regular season or SEC tourney title, no
final four which is what you dream about.
We do not fire coaches who have won a national championship then before that stab a so called legend in the back before he took
the job. Paul Hornung was the best player in 1956. He had a career in the NFL while Majors did not he went to Canada. a good coach
but not great at Tennessee his finest hour was 1976 at Pittsburgh when he had some guy named Dorsett.
So 901 Orange on your guys best day you could never beat us in men's basketball and for all the so called great players you have or had
I use that term loosely no Heisman Trophy winners. Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU and Auburn in the SEC have more Heisman's than you
guys and as for Fulmer the coach that won that Natty. you fired him then a decade later you wanted him back to save football.
FACT since the college football playoff poll has existed Top 25 Kentucky has been ranked in it six weeks all in 2018. Tennessee has
been ranked four. So how is that for tradition you are still trying to recite somebody's maxims Neyland or somebody like that.
Al Davis of the Oakland Raiders "Just Win Baby" the only maxim needed to know.
Tennessee has been much better in men's basketball over the last 15 years, than Kentucky has in football. Tennessee has also had much greater success vs Kentucky in men's basketball, than Kentucky has had vs Tennessee in football... and that holds true for as far back as you would like to go. Since Rick Barnes's first season at Tennessee in 2015-16, Tennessee leads the head to head series vs Kentucky in basketball 7-5. Tennessee is 33-2 vs Kentucky in football since 1985. Tennessee leads the all time series with Kentucky in football 81-25-9. It is the most lopsided series which has been played at least 100 times in the history of the SEC. Calling Kentucky football a speed bump for Tennessee is being kind. You could win every game from now until 2074... and we would still hold the all time series lead.

Putting UGA in the group is lunacy--they return next to nothing. The Vols will have 3 guys from their OL playing in the NFL next year and the two other starters were 5* true freshmen. IF the OL gels, they'll be one of the best in the country IF they play this year. OL will be the strength of the team in 2020.

Their offensive line will be better than Kentucky's. Hell, our offensive line will be better than Kentucky's... with or without Cade Mays.

But they got their tail kicked in the sugar bowl. They averaged 2.4 yards per rush as a team, didnt even reach 215 passing, 7 tackles for loss, & a couple sacks, against the 65th ranked defense in the country.

Yes. But they return several who played a lot of 2019 snaps, including some starts. Two of the ones lost were 1st round draft picks. There are good players awaiting there turn, including two 5 stars.

Bowden just ran around until he found a hole. That won’t happen in 2020, if we play. It had very little to do with an offensive line
