Going to miss seeing him on the field.. Wonder if he's going to become an analyst?

Glad that's his decision. Didn't want to see him struggle to play longer. Stay healthy and be there for your family and find a new job that you like (not that he needs the money)

If I had to say he will probably take a year off and spend time with his family and try to watch as many of Eli's games as he can. May see him at a lot of Vols games this fall as well. We all know he definitely doesn't need the money and he will still have his commercials. I can already see him in a Buick commercial riding off into the sunset. I'm sure he will still find ways to be busy but I don't see him as tv personality unless it's as a special guest.

If Peyton could come back at the top of his game, and able to move well enough to escape pressure, why not come back? You only live once. Since it is obvious neither of those are going to happen, go out on top because only a rare few can do that. Relax, figure out the next chapter, and enjoy the kids. They are only young once.

Fyp

You know these guys aren't getting this info from Payton's camp. Still speculation until we see Payton in front of a mic.

I'll be happy with whatever Peyton decides. A friend almost had me convinced Manning would be a LA Ram next year.

All in all, this legend deserves to go out as he sees fit. As a UTK grad and fan who has seen every pass he's thrown in a game since his first outing versus UCLA, I thank him, respect him beyond measure and wish him a happy, healthy, fun life off the grid iron. If his path brings him to East Tennessee often, may he always be received with kindness and joy.

God bless, Peyton! Enjoy those precious children and let them know a Lady Vols and Big Orange uni is awaiting them both. ;-)

Pretty ridiculous...but I just cried watching the "goodbye" segment from Eli on ESPN...other than being a Tennessee QB, he's also the QB of my youth, so it's got me feeling a little old this morning too.
