Peyton or Eli

Not even Tom Brady deserves as much media attention that Peyton gets. Good Lord, during football season it's 30% Peyton, then 10% Colts, then 60% of the rest of the games on Sundays'. It annoying x100

Not to mention his Visa, Sprint, and Gatorade commercials :neener2:

So if all of that is 50/50, how is UT your favorite. What is your connection to Duke?

I have no connection. JJ Redick was my favorite all time player. When I wasn't playing basketball I was watching JJ. I didn't start watching Duke religiously until about 6 years ago. That said, there's not 5 minutes that goes by that I don't think of UT basketball. If Duke misses out on a recruit or has a dismissal from the team I don't get too overly depressed as I do if Tennessee does. Plus, I'm not much on Coach K. Nothing against him, I've read his books, but I'm not his type of personality.

No joke, I'm sick of it. I hate to bring up the "he can't win the big game" argument but up until defeating the Bears he'd choked in every big game since college. I'm more of a Tom Brady type of guy. Like I say, I probably wouldn't hate him as much if I didn't have him jammed down my throat every second of my life or have to listen to Ron Jaworski salivate over him every Sunday of football season.

He's the type of fan we like to call bandwagon.:p

Naw, I've never missed a UT basketball game since I was around 5. I bleed Orange, but I cheer for Duke. Plus, I love anything to do with UT athletics, I'm only a Duke basketball junkie.

Since you are a Duke fan, maybe I have deceiving eyes but I thought I saw on BB recruiting for Duke all their recruits for their class was Elliot Williams and a 3 star. Only two commits for them?

Miles Plumlee will be a good addition as well I think. Still, they can't make a serious run until they get some legitimate big men that can compete at the ACC level.

How do you feel about Tim Tebow TennesseeFan? Also, the love fest for Tom Brady last year was just as bad as any love fest for Peyton.

When you not only shatter the QB TD record, but in the process you help one receiver lead the league in catches and another receiver set the single season TD record then it's warranted. What did Brady have around him on offense when the New England dynasty first began? He still won with those players, now it's great to see him succeed and to have all that firepower around him.

As for Tebow, he's a terrific Quarterback in the perfect system. Not many QB's can be relied upon as not only being an all-star QB, but he was also forced to be the best rusher on the team. Tebow's a unique talent. His own versatility may hurt his NFL stock though. There's no way he can carry the ball more than 5 times a game in the NFL or he'll pay dearly. Then again, he tore up the SEC(best defenses with most pro prospects) last season so he can prove me wrong again. Either way, his arm alone sets him high up on the great QB's of all-time.

But was that there entire 08 class? Surely not.

5 star Elliot Williams will see significant time next season. He'll be very impressive at Duke. They still need one thing. A strong inside presence, they don't have an incoming recruit or anyone on their active roster that's capable of carrying the load down low. That separates them from being title contending good.

Brady broke the QB record in the last game of the season. He did not shatter the QB TD record. Did Peyton not deserve the hype when he broke the record? The Patriots won those first Super Bowls with a great defense and an amazing kicker. The offense was above average.

You're fooling yourself if you feel like they had a championship caliber offense. Brady was able to make that whole offense overachievers.

I don't believe they had a championship caliber offense. I think they had an offense that relied on a great defense and the best kicker of his time.

He's talking about the earlier years when they had nobody, and it Donte Stallworth.

I'll give you that they had a nasty D and the most clutch kicker of all-time, but without Brady's superhuman effort and his ability to cope with Bledsoe's distractions was amazing.
