Can someone tell me why Peyton won the NFL MVP 3 times, but never won the heisman, that is a load of SH!T

I'm not sure if you're clear on the criteria for each award, but the Heisman is a college football award and the NFL MVP award is about what the player does as a professional.

He was such a clear favorite going in to his senior season that media types started tearing him down instead of appreciating his body of work. How often has that happened that a person or team is pre picked, then people get overly critical just to keep it suspenseful.

Instead of bringing up past crap about Manning and the Heisman... why don't we talk about his current status. We all know what happened in the past... no true vol fan understands it and never will. But right now he's adding and adding on stats that will bring his status as probably the Greatest QB to ever play in the NFL. I don't think he's there yet, but if he can manage to win a couple more Superbowls, and maybe 1 or 2 more MVP's before he retires he will be the greatest to ever play the game.

Only thing he didn't do but, super Bowl makes up for it by far. The hell with that award. I have not cared who won it sense they (ESPN & New York Cronies) gave it to Woodson.

I'm still trying to figure out what Peyton did to deserve the MVP this year. What a joke the NFL award system is. Matt Ryan deserved it over Manning. Or Peterson, Pennington, Turner or even Kerry Collins.

I love Peyton in Orange. But this is ridiculous.

Wow do you watch the NFL? Im a Atlanta Falcons fan so I like Matt Ryan & "The Burner" Turner they both had great seasons BUT Peyton is the reason the Colts are in the playoffs right now. They started 3-4 & they won 8 games in a row I think? If im wrong then someone can correct me. Anyways they won those 8 in a row because of Peyton. Trust me if Kerry or Matt Ryan were in Peytons shoes then they couldnt have done what Peyton did. Winning 8 games in a row basically on your own deserves the MVP last time I checked. Kerry Collins? An opinion is pretty much just that. You might try reading this from someone that actually had a vote in award. You might find his thought process interesting.
