Has no interest coaching at UT per Jayson Swain.

He has a link but I'm unable to post it on my phone

Peyton isn't going to come out and say he'd like to coach at Tennessee whether he does or doesn't. Our fans would run our coaches out of town if they realized they could have Peyton back. He knows that and he's not that kind of guy. Not saying he'll coach at UT. Just saying his comments on the topic mean nothing to me.

That article was written over a year ago. What is Peyton suppose to say? At that time he was the best QB in the league, and not looking for something after the NFL.

Swain get's his info from an August 2010 USA Today article...He tweets something and folks act like he just got off the phone with Manning.

"I enjoy helping young quarterbacks. … I think it'd be hard in college to go on the recruiting trail. In the NFL, people will kind of say, 'Well, you're a good play-caller, you'd be a good coach.' I'm only good at calling plays when I'm playing quarterback. I think at it when I get on the sidelines. I've called some plays in the past from the sidelines … and I stink at it." - Peyton Manning, USA Today, Aug 2010

USA Today Article

My opinion on Manning coaching at Tennessee is this:

Q - Who is arguably the most loved and admired Volunteer over the last quarter century?

A - Peyton Manning

Q - Who has one of craziest fan bases in all of college football, that will go from worship to witch hunt at the drop of a hat?

A - Tennessee

Would he ever want to take that risk? He could never show his face in Knoxville again and still be adored by the Volunteer Masses the rest of his life... Or he could come in as a Coach and take a chance at having a couple of bad seasons and start reading death threats on FirePeytonManning.com.

I don't think he would ever want to risk tarnishing his status....I'd love to see him tied to the program in an official way, but I don't think it will ever happen.

This sums up Tennessee football right there.

Rod Wilks just tweeted that he thinks his right big toe is longer than his left big toe...

Nobody gonna mention that?
