2007? That took a while to come to fruition.
"the $20,000 project." :ermm:
Probably cost the students parents more than it cost the students.
They have the right idea... all the money their parents gave them for food, housing and going to school, scrape the leftovers together to honor a guy that's probably earned a quarter of a billion dollars prior to taxes. I love UT sports but this sounds like students scraping together fundings from their parents for something the school and or Peyton Manning should pay for. I guess it's their money so they can spend it on whatever they want but if students are going to pool 20,000 dollars, why not use it to help people?
I'm sure I'll get blasted for this but whatever. :good!:

How many people graduate from UT each year, maybe 8,000? That means each member of the class of 2007gave $2.50 to fund a project that would leave a legacy on the University they attended. Sure, Peyton could have paid for it without battig an eye. But it's not about the money, it's about the attitude of giving. And how is the $20k not helping people? Did you see the people in that picture, they are working, aka, they have a JOB because of that money. In my book, that's helping people.
Not trying to blast you, just want to give you a different perspective is all.

Talked with the guys painting Peyton Manning Pass yesterday they had the T and the white squares done and half of the orange squares on one side completed.
They said the original project as planned was to just paint the T and the checkerboards, but that some alumni and administrators have taken a big interest In the project and are very interested in completing the field with green and painting the yard lines.
