Peyton Manning Pass was painted Thursday to resemble UT's Shields–Watkins football field, complete with the orange-and-white checkerboard pattern and Power T.
The project was the senior gift from the Class of 2007 to the university. It was made possible by funds from UT's Senior Gift Campaign, which also had contributors from the Class of 2008 and 2009.

I was reading through the project list at UT and saw "Checkboard on Peyton Manning Pass" and I had no idea what it was. Makes more sense now.

It is a good website to look at by the way for Alumni and those who are interested. Shows everything that is being done at UT at any given time, the estimated completion date, and the progress percentage.
