This sums up Coach Pat the best and most concisely that I have read or heard. Payton seems to have a way with words that cuts through the fluff.
The one thing that stands out to me was his statement about what he thought she could have coach. This word is used much too loosely. Many people have the title that are leaders of their team or program. The term "coach" goes way beyond the team aspects of leadership. "Coach is defined by Payton's statement. Pat and the few like her, lead beyond the "team" definition of the word "coach".
