Peyton Manning for VFL coordinator

I'd rather he be named Chancellor; plenty of non-academic chancellors around the country (usually from a business background) who do fine.

Will Peyton be okay with finding his own transportation to away games? I suppose he could get some other VFLs to ride along and kick in some gas money.

Yea, but I would love for him to have this job, he could fix a lot of things wrong with the football program around there.

You should tweet him. I'm sure he's unaware of this matter of importance and will be receptive.

He'd also make a heck of a WalMart greeter.

Lol If Peyton doesn't get into ownership or management of pro teams or even broadcasting analyst. Then he will be more likely volunteering for things for charity Imo.

Peyton is too busy making commercials, doing cartoon voice overs, and being a Dad. Just to mention a few.

Making him a VFL coordinator seems a little like asking a brain surgeon to pass out bedpans. He has more important things on his agenda.

The VFL coordinator is not a coaching position, so he can't fix what you want him to fix from that chair. You might want to check the job description. And though the little mooning incident is long ago, we really need someone without that kind of accusation in their past to cover this position.

The VFL program is ridiculous! Most people don't know that it is just for football players only. Fans, former players of other sports at UT, are not VFL's. If the VFL program is going to continue, it should include ALL sports at UT and not just football. Football already has enough recognition on it's own. If I was a baseball player at UT and I was told that I was not qualified to be a VFL because I was not a football player, I would pissed. Every kid that puts on a uniform for UT regardless of the sport should be a Vol for Life. But, nothing changes at UT unless it is to accommodate to the football team, so my expectations are low.

Peyton wouldn’t, and shouldn’t, come to Tennessee for any position less than the Athletic Director, making in excess of $1mm per year. No way he is, or should, come to Tennessee for a $40k year, low-level grunt position like VFL coordinator.

I think he could indeed make things better for the program, but at a much, much higher level. AD or UT President is a much better fit for Manning.

If I was Peyton I would not come back here to work in any capacity. The fact that he is already considered a God and idolized more so than the real Lord Jesus is insane. Peyton would never hear the end of it if he made a decision that didn't accommodate to the wishes of the fans. His kids would be given grief by other kids at school if Peyton makes a mistake because remember, he is God around here. I wish everyone would use a small part of their brain to realize he will never come back here to put himself or his family to be put in a position to be crucified should any mistake be made. He didn't beat Florida, he lost his last game big time to Nebraska, move on.

You do realize he's worth a Billion dollars correct?

Peyton is not coming to UT in any fashion. He will own or GM his own team at some point when the time and team are right!

:thud:

Tennesseeduke

I actually like the idea.

Butch: "Sorry Peyton, no room on the plane. Be resilient and find a ride."

Peyton: (walks into the airport, buys said plane) "Butch, make sure you get picked up by a life champion as you're hitchhiking your a$$ back to campus."

Lol, not gonna happen, but we can dream.

Just think what he could do around campus and the football program with this job...

Not to mention the 69K he'd being pulling down.:eek:lol:
So we have lowered our target to PM as a charity case meeter greeter instead of HBC??Cause apparently that's all the position ended up being.
I'm surprised Peyton hasn't called about it..
