Yea, but I would love for him to have this job, he could fix a lot of things wrong with the football program around there.
Peyton is too busy making commercials, doing cartoon voice overs, and being a Dad. Just to mention a few.
Making him a VFL coordinator seems a little like asking a brain surgeon to pass out bedpans. He has more important things on his agenda.
The VFL coordinator is not a coaching position, so he can't fix what you want him to fix from that chair. You might want to check the job description. And though the little mooning incident is long ago, we really need someone without that kind of accusation in their past to cover this position.

Peyton wouldnt, and shouldnt, come to Tennessee for any position less than the Athletic Director, making in excess of $1mm per year. No way he is, or should, come to Tennessee for a $40k year, low-level grunt position like VFL coordinator.
I think he could indeed make things better for the program, but at a much, much higher level. AD or UT President is a much better fit for Manning.
You do realize he's worth a Billion dollars correct?
Peyton is not coming to UT in any fashion. He will own or GM his own team at some point when the time and team are right!

Just think what he could do around campus and the football program with this job...
