Peyton keeping it classy

I got the chance to have lunch with Peyton years ago. He was in the NFL but with the Colts at that time. This article sounds like just like the man I met. He is an incredibly nice guy. He was very friendly and made you feel like you had know each other for years. So, it is great to see that all the success that Peyton has had over the years has not changed the the kind of man he is inside. Great story OP

Peyton is an incredible person. Most impressive to me is his ability to remain so humble and well grounded in spite of incredible success. It is my belief that his parents, Archie and Olivia deserve a lot of credit. A glaring example of what good parenting can do for people.

Yep I agree. Everything I've read, seen, and been told by people who know the family is Cooper, Peyton, and Eli were always expected to act with class, dignity, and respect for others no matter who they were or the social class they were in....And I've never read or heard anything to the contrary....and Archie...I agree....this grand parenting thing is GREATLY underrated!!!!

I'm waiting for the "yeah but he didn't beat Fla" crowd along with the "He's lost too many playoff games" or "lost too many times to Brady" BS.

He is the GOAT in my book as well, and obviously the real deal. The success he has had on and off the field is a product of extreme hard work, intelligence and great raising by a super family.

He deserves the best because he represents the highest of standards. Period!

I love when people say Peyton is the GOAT and in the same post give reasons as to why he is not GOAT.

Here is a short story that I think will provide some insight into why the Manning sons are the good people that they are. The point of this story is like father, like son.

As a high school senior, my hometown played Archie’s hometown (Drew, MS) in the North Mississippi baseball championship on the Ole Miss campus in Oxford where he was headed as a star recruit. I was on first base when my coach gave me the steal sign so I took off on the pitcher’s delivery to the plate. Archie played shortstop for Drew so he moved in to take the catcher’s throw. It was a very close play that could have gone either way but the ump called me safe. As the dust was clearing, Archie reached out and gave me his hand to lift me out of the dirt. He proceeded to walk behind me and dust off my jersey and the seat of my pants with his glove hand before retaking his position at shortstop.

He never said a word. I never forgot.

And his head is enormous.

The size of that man's brain must be incredible. lol I mean wow, if you took away even half of his forehead, he would only be 6 ft tall. I think he just graduated to a 6head. I kid, I kid, love Peyton, but that picture is funny.
