Well, in all fairness, Saban had a dismal first season, so I think Dooley can swing the ship around in dramatic fashion too, as long as he's getting the troops he needs and surrounds himself with a solid staff. Seems like he is doing that, despite the disappointing season and all the upheaval. I'll give him credit there.
This next year should be his turning point.

All you need to know on Otha:

Talent is nothing without at least some brains.

The kid basically let himself be manipulated by a snake who convinced him that joining a recruiting class ranked in the 30-40 range gave him a better shot at playing for a championship than one ranked just outside the top 10.

He wouldn't even listen to his own mother when she tried to talk some sense in him.

We've seen tons of kids come through the T with all the talent in the world but with nothing upstairs and thus never made it onto the field. Arky pulled in the 24th ranked class last year and the 49th before that. They got no where to go but down and it will probably be sooner rather than later. We will be fine. LB was not something I was nearly as concerned about as D line and we did pretty dang good in that dept.

Oh good... Another Saban vs. Dooley comparison. When will our fanbase come to grips with the fact that Dooley is about 1/100 of the coach that Saban is, at least at this point?

I read where he said it was about winning championships at Arkansas. That's all i need to know. Petrino laid it on thick this past weekend and the kid bought it. Oh well, have fun chasing LSU and Bama around for the next 4 years and they won't be taking West titles from either one. Petrino worked us on that one.

Recent recruit says Ok State and Arkansas used negative recruiting against Dooley. Telling recruits that Dooley was going to be fired. He didn't buy it. I wonder if Peters heard the same thing?

Yeah he said in his interview the other day that stability was a big factor.

In the end, there are several prospects that come up big that weren't expected to. I am crossing my fingers for this scenario. Still, that'll do pig... that'll do.

Don't know for sure....but Moma Peters must have felt totally betrayed by this with the Coach and the Arkansas Staff....Truly believe she was blindsided.....

So what is the word? Anyone? Has he signed or still on the fence? The longer the wait, I would think the better our chances.

recruiting class sucks, but not as badly as the defense. If Peters is anything close to the level he appears to be, he'll play every down that he's healthy while at Arky.
