I'd like some speculation on Peterman's performance. Aside from "he sucks", "oh lord". How much of his mistakes were because of nerves and the fact that it was his first time starting the game with the first string?

Constructive criticism is good.

He wasn't this bad during second halves in previous games this season.

Who cares? He sucked and leaving him in too long cost us the game against a not so good Florida team

He is now a legend in TN football history. Will be compared to future lackluster QB's. we will remember where we were when peterman started against Florida.

Let me see..... We should place the Peterman performance right up here with Kennedy, King, and Reagan. Now I have heard everything.

He can't throw a simple quick out much less A deep out or a 9. Jim Bob Cooter may be the starter if he was still here. After October throw the freshmen in to start the QB competition for next season. I don't think anyone really expected this team to be good this year anyway.

As if we didn't know that those comments were coming from some of the stupidest people in the world. The scariest thing is Coach Jones apparently did not know. He seriously needs to sit down and have a long, frank talk with Coach Majors. Johnny is from East Tennessee; he knows how things really are with the "legions of the miserable." If Jones is going to cater to those a-holes, he might as well hang up his whistle.

He didn't look this bad when he played second string on previous games which is why I posed the question.

He played poorly. Not sure if it was nerves or what but I still think he's a better qb than what he showed. Just not his time yet. Nothing more, nothing less.

Are we still questioning how a QB with so little time under center played lousy in Gainesville against the #3 defense in the nation?:eek:lol:

Yup. It's called a discussion.

I feel for the kid actually. Expecting him to perform well today was a bit like expecting a win in Eugene. I hope our backup QB has not lost whatever confidence he had. There is a very real chance he will be our starting QB again at some point in the season. Especially with our O line playing soft.
