Maybe a combination of both. Who doesn't tweak the game plan at half time? If something isn't working that's prime time to change it!

I judge them based on their entire body of work, throughout all of last season...and they sucked.

I think they tried to call basic plays to ease Peterman into playing, usually that occurs until a rhythm forms, then the more advanced plays are called. However, the Swamp happened and the rhythm couldn't form. If iit had been a home game, Peterman would've had a better chance, IMO.

My expectations that the offense with him under center have more yards for a half than turnovers are unreasonable? That with him as QB that we do better than 1 positive yard every 6 plays? Uhh, I guess so.

Thanks for posting this, OP. Great video.

Of course, the main issue is that it's almost impossible to evaluate Peterman on any of his performances. He was injured vs Florida. And re-watching the game in your video, you can also see that a lot of Peterman's "mistakes" were the result of the O-line completely collapsing.

Against Oregon, he was playing against the 2nd string, and the rest of our offense was playing so poorly (the o-line, the WRs, etc),that it would've been difficult for Peterman to have compensated for that.

In fact, that's really the biggest takeaway for me watching these videos is that our WR corps was AWFUL at the beginning of last season. And our O-line was really bad at protecting the QB in some games.

If there's any good news, it's that we saw a lot of improvement as the year went on, particularly at the WR position.

I'm probably one of the few here at VN that has been optimistic about Peterman. Think too many dismissed him based on one poor half he played with an injured hand against the best defense in the nation, with very little support from his O-line. But if you actually watch Peterman's passes, he has the most arm strength and zip out of all of our 2013 QBs. I do think that Worley showed better decision-making skills, which ended up being very important given the other areas of weakness on that 2013 team.

According to some yes.. Me no! No way u can say he is the guy.. That game made me think twice about coaching staff n to completely get off the NP play club.

If NP starts we r in trouble..imo

Pretty much explain the last 4 years WE KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE BAD JUST DIDN'T KNOW HOW BAD If I knew then what I know now I would have slammed my head in the door for just thinking about firing Fulmer. Sorry to be so off topic but when I watched the Oregon game it kinda just shows the image of Tennessee football over the last 4 years just plain helpless. :ermm:

You could say that the first fumble was Neal's/Oline's fault and you could also say the 2nd was the Oline's fault. Or you could say they are both Peterman's fault.

After watching this not sure which one scares me more, that Peterson might start, or that Josh Smith might start. Peterman's reads were horrible. The first fumble was on the RB tho, that play was designed to go left away from the pressure where there was an open lane.

I am being serious. If he didn't know more than 2 plays they shouldn't have started him. If u feel confident enough to start him, be confident enough to let him run the offense. Not the same run twice for 2 yds, making it 3rd and long every drive.

Worley played decent against UGA and USCe. He wasn't a world beater. He threw balls in the dirt all yr. I have faith he will be better this yr but if Peterman is doing the best, u play him. If not, dont. Idk how much better any of them got but I wasn't the one who brought out my pitchfork after Peterman when we lost to Florida.

Your Worley bias has completely ruined any creditability you may have had on this topic. How many damn yards would we have had with a little blocking and some WR's that caught balls that bounced off their shoulder pads?? Would you be happy if Peterman's scholarship was pulled ? Maybe taken out back and skinned alive? Jeesh!

You give it a damn rest. I don't have a Worley bias, I have a bias towards Tennessee getting the best QB on the field that we can so we can win. All I've done is remind people of just how bad Peterman played in his only collegiate start to try and balance the irrational hysteria going on over his last 4-5 practices. That's it.

All I hear outta you is wah wah wah. Peterman looked liked absolute garbage and Worley beat a ranked team. Just because you get a chubbie from Peterman doesn't make him the better quarterback.
