Just do away with criteria. If you want to spitball the process then just do it. But don’t create criteria and then decide it isn’t a good time to use it when it doesn’t give you the result you want.
I don’t disagree but it they list metrics and then don’t use them, they’re showing their bias. And honestly, I’m okay with that. There was always going to be an element of subjectivity in the selection process, but outright overlooking the metrics listed… it’s a sham.
I just want the committee to come out and be honest. Lay out the specific criteria. Just coke out and say none of that matters. Quality wins don’t matter. Strength of schedule doesn’t matter. Only losses and brand name bias matter. Just be honest.
I always hear them (like Danny BS Kanell) say that it’s a reset every week too. In that case, get South Carolina up there! I say go back to the BCS model. Computers have no bias. Math is one of the few constants in this world.
