If the UT powers-that-be can get over the stigma, you gotta throw all you got at Hugh Freeze. I know with the NCAA lurking around, the knee-jerk reaction will be “we’re trying to run the cleanest program in America and can’t hire Freeze” but I say nonsense to all that. Freeze has learned his lesson and won’t repeat past mistakes. It’s a splash hire and immediately makes UT a player in recruiting and on-field X’s and O’s.

And with where college football is headed with the name/brand/likeness stuff, it’s about to be a money free-for-all anyhow. Most of the stuff Freeze was doing “illegally” before will be perfectly ok in the next few years.
