Here's the $15 million question lingering over Virginia Tech

"The ultimate issue facing Fuente potentially coming off back-to-back flops is that it’ll be difficult to lure a high-end replacement for Foster, as no million-dollar defensive coordinator will be eager to join a sinking ship.
(And VT AD Babcock isn’t a rube like Tennessee’s Phillip Fulmer, who hands out guaranteed three-year deals like they’re Halloween candy.)"

I will get slaughtered for this, but if Pruitt, who is Phil's guy, continues on this trajectory, rube will be beyond accurate.

Slaughter, no way. But realistically I think the Pruitt hire by fulmer was way better than the last two hires. Now that doesn’t say much, but heading into this nobody doubted the fact Pruitt could recruit and that he was a football coach. Now head coach? We are going to see how the rest of this year unfolds but I don’t think that was anything but a low blow to fulmer by Thamel. Whatever makes him feel better I guess.

Talking head... Doesn't deserve the time and effort to be made relevant. Who the hel- if he anyway? It's amazing how these guys are so bold hiding behind their mikes and cameras.

Tennessee was handing out stupid deals long before Fulmer took over as AD

Fulmer might be a rube but at least he had an accomplished career and can fall upward after failure.

Pete Thamel's career trajectory has been straight to the shi!ter. Unfortunately it's an outhouse that doesn't flush.

So, we are now posting clickbait articles about other teams that mention someone on our coaching staff or administration and it becomes as relevant (or irrelevant) as the local garbage and this site actually cares what it says. Amazing.

Pete Thamel is Urban Myer's personal reporter. Anytime Urban needs a story out Pete happily tees one up. Urban must want us to help drive his price higher and my guess is Fulmer would rather quit than play the game. Lets not kid ourselves, Urban would never actually take the Vols coaching job and Fulmer knows this. That won't stop Urban from using us to his advantage in the meantime.

It still feels like the off-season and it will still feel off till the Vols get rolling again.
