My granny and Granddaddy lived near Goodlettsville, and my Aunt owned a truck stop that went out of business when they built I-65. And there is great LL baseball in Goodlettsville. And close to Rivergate mall, my teenage hangout.
These facts have noting to do with Hegseth. Just reminiscing.

I'm in SE Nashville, but like Hickory Hollow Mall, Rivergate Mall isn't what it used to be but Goodlettsville is a nice area.

I remember when Hickory Hollow was built. We thought that a two-story mall was better than a theme park. You from Antioch or Smyrna area?

We had a similar in Knoxville, but thugs from East Knoxville took it over and they closed it. Now there is an Amazon warehouse in its place.

We've lost our minds. Just another talking head Trump saw on TV and that was the vetting process. Who cares if he is a Vol fan? It's not important at all.

Dude is basically the status quo with foreign policy.
He has degrees from two Ivy league schools. Served in both Afghanistan and Iraq won two Bronze Stars. He also did a tour as a guard at GITMO. Now let's say he wasn't on Fox News but was on the board of say Raytheon or Lockheed or a defense contracter then you and the left would have no problem with him. Especially if he was nominated by a Democrat President-elect.

Let's be clear, almost anybody who would ever be nominated by either party is a problem for me.

You think he's going against Lockheed Martin? LOL

You think simply having military experience, ivy league degrees, and being a guard at Gitmo mean anything regarding how good he will be? I do not.

Hickory Hollow Mall had nothing to do with the "instead of theme park" that was Opry mills

Hickory Hollow Mall was open for close to 20 before Opryland shut down

We had already move out of the area before Opry Mills. I'm talking like 1975 time period.

Did you voice your displeasure with the Obama and Biden nominees?

By all accounts his military service was exemplary.

But then he injected himself into culture wars, for no reason other than self promotion. He went from dutiful soldier to politician and tv personality.

He'll probably be fine. But I wish we'd stop exaggerating how many transgender ppl and the like actually affect anything. It's such a tiny problem in the scheme of things.
