The reality is that this game will almost certainly be meaningless at the end of the year. It has zero to do with the outcome of the SEC race and the same BCS bowl berth is still on the line. The only way that it could be important in the scheme of things is if UT was in position to win the national championship and that seems so unlikely anyway.
Now, UT has a lot to work on. For one thing, what was with all the cramping? I realize your defense was on the field a lot, but one does wonder about conditioning right now. Second, to echo the comments of others on here, the tackling seemed very poor.
Bright spot would be Ainge. He took control and got you back in the game. I figured that with the way that UT took over things a bit in the third, that would give the defense time to rest, but in the end of course it wasn't enough.
Bottom line is that in a couple of months this game was bound to have little to do with your season, anyway. So time to fix things and get ready for the real season.
