Head...meet brick wall....again, and again, and again...
You have the best backs in the country as far as the spread offense is concerned. They aren't even in the top half of the SEC as far as running backs go.
Right off the top of my head I can think of 2 at bama, 2 at UT, and 1 at ole miss that are better running backs. Demps and Rainey are glorified track stars that don't have a snowballs chance in hell of playing back at the next level.
I feel the same way man, trust me.
How you can sit here and say that the two players who lead the conference in YPC last season(as freshman) aren't in the top half of the conference is beyond me. I don't care about the NFL, college ball is what they're currently playing, and college ball is what I'm referring to. As far as collegiate ball is concerned, we have some of the best backs in the conference. I don't care what system is, I don't care what style of back they are. Numbers don't lie, and the numbers prove Demps and Rainey can play, period. Give credit where credit is due.
2 backs at UT better than Demps and Rainey? You can't be referring to Montario Hardesty and Bryce brown. Montario Hardesty has been at UT since 05 and has hardly done jack squat. The most yards he's ever had in a season is 384, his highest ypc since he's been there has been 4.2, and his longest run was 43 yards. All categories both Demps and Rainey have already surpassed. Both have multiple runs of over 50 yards.
Bryce Brown has played a single game, there's no way you can seriously say he's better than two backs that have already proven themselves. You'd be basing this off of what he accomplished in high school.
There isn't a back at Ole Miss better than Rainey and Demps. Brandon Bolden, their starting back is in his second season, his numbers pale in comparison to the duo as well.
As I said, the only team in the SEC that can honestly say their stable of backs are as strong as Florida's is Bama. Period.
I understand Volnation is excited about your team, but give credit where credit is due.
