I think you misunderstand what I was saying. We did get screwed, by the ACC officiating crew, not the bowl officials.

The bowl officials hired the crew, which included at least the referee with a bad history.

Listen---the call in OT at the goal line was horrible....absolutely horrible...especially when you look at Durham's TD run and no forward progress was called on that...

BUT....the missed call that pi$$es me off beyond belief is the defensive holding/PI missed call at the end of regulation on Tillman...the officiating crew was calling us for looking at the WRs too mean on pass routes all game (6 PI calls vs. 1 against Purdue). That was blatent, obvious defensive holding TWO PLAYS BEFORE THE LONG FG.....Get those 10 yards on the penalty and a fresh set of downs with timeouts in our pocket....we win that game.

It should have never gone to OT and UT wins in regulation....

...those refs stole that game from us multiple times, and someone, somewhere needs to be held accountable.

Referees and weather forecasters...the only jobs where you can be right 50% of the time and still hold a job.

yeah, Tennessee gets hosed in about a dozen close calls this year but 1 does go their way & Vols stole the game.

Agree…..needed 10-15 yds to win the game and twice went for the home run ball…..was that coach or QB. Situational awareness!!!

The home run ball was open both times. Our star QB went for it both times. Our star QB missed it both times... though on the 2nd one Purdue got away with highway robbery.

You can't blame the staff for saying "this is a big game, we need to put the ball into the hands of our best players and let them win it for us".

Coaches made the right call. Hooker made the right read and decision. Hooker just missed both throws.
