I remember going there in the 90's. Went a few years. Every time they were the worst fans. Would rather go to bama Florida or uGA any day.
Beat them every time. Every time it was because the ref's screwed them. Or they had a bad day. Or whatever. Bunch of whiny pansies.

Hoptown is a drunk trying to stir crap up for attention. The piss bombs in Gainesville are real. Set with a group of guys from Chattanooga who go to every game every year. There's normally 4 of them but the 4th had piss poured on him from the upper deck one year and refuses to go back. Guys had no reason to make crap up. I've had very few problems in Gainesville but I also grew up in FL and have always been at games with friends who attended UF. Kinda hard for someone to walk up and be a dick when i'm with a big group of UF fans.

When is the last time you were at a game in Columbia? The a$$holes were out in force - I also think recent success has given them a case of elite-itis AKA cocky-mu****as.

But, I LOVED being there and staying until the end. That was insane, and one of the best moments of my life as far as attending a game has went.

Also, they're pretty fairweather.. there were only like 65k there to begin with. After half I'd say it dropped to 55k and even as it was going to OVERTIME, it was at 30k max.

Some Tennessee fans left too, but not nearly on the same scale as them. It was baffling to me.

In any case, Go Vols, 7-5.

My worst experience was in Columbia in the 90's (Taneyhill win). It wasn't that bad, though. Just some drunk woman running around tell the Vol fans to suck her stick after they won.

Me too, they were cool to me. Off coarse I'm 6ft 270lbs and covered with tattoos, so some people are scared of me. I'm really a teddybear, well most of the time. The OP has more paitence than me though. I would have turned grizzly on that women :realmad:.

First thing I want to say is Congrats on the win. Your team never quit. I would like to say I was surprised to see us blow a 2 touchdown lead in the 4th quarter. Except that this is the 3rd time we have done this this year so I wasn't real surprised. Sorry you were treated bad by some of the fans. Hope it was only a small portion of the fans you came in contact with. They don't represent the majority of our fan base.
I recall a similar time I had at Neyland when I think I was near the worst group of Vol fans there. But I don't hold the entire fan base responsible for a few A _ _ holes. Most of my trips to Tennessee have been great and my experiences with fans have been pleasant. In fact, I enjoy visiting Tennessee in general. I just got back from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge 2 weeks ago and Tennessee has been by far my favorite road trip. Love Calhouns by the river also. Anyway. Good luck the rest of the year and sorry you ran into some of our worst fans. Just want you to know that most Carolina are not like that. I hate bad fans no matter who they pull for. Looking forward to coming to Knoxville next year.

I didn't read anything online. I heard it from 3 guys who saw it happen. I've been to Gainesville more times than you've left your town and I've never seen it personally happen but I have seen my mom get hit in the head by an airplane bottle thrown by a UF fan and then watched the ***** run to the concourse.
