Personal question - Mike Keith

I asked this in the GameDay thread and got no responses, so hopefully y'all will see this and can help please. I'm in Georgia and I'd like to turn the announcers off and sync Mike Keith to the TV. I've been to many radio station web sites such as WNML, WIVK etc. The problem is the pause button doesn't pause. It only stops the audio and then picks back up live. Any advice y'all could give will be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance!

There's an app called RadioSync that delays the radio broadcast to sync with the TV.
You can control the delay via the app in game in case radio commercials were longer or shorter than TV.

I haven't tried it, but after hearing some of Mike Keith's call last week, I plan to this week.

Back to the original question - I've known and seen a lot of public speakers that use a distraction technique to keep a rhythm to their speech.
A lot of them use particular hand gestures (go back and watch some old Ronald Reagan speeches and you'll really notice), some use a gadget or something on the podium.
In Mike's case, I think because he doesn't have a podium he is using some kind of gadget or article in his pocket...I've heard Winston Churchill used two ball bearings.

Ok, so now I've used hands in pockets, balls, gadgets, and hand gestures...let's hear the jokes and one liners. 🤣

Thanks for the info. I’ll be trying that one.

I never hated Kesling like some did, but Mike Keith’s energy is fun to listen to.

I've tried to be nice and hope I see it on a Q and A somewhere.... but why does Mike Keith keep his hands in his pockets the whole time?

I met him several times, he spoke at booster events. Everytime pockets... when he holds a mic with one hand the other is playing with something in the other.

Is it just a tick or something to keep his lungs open?

It's driving me crazy and I must know..
Knox Journal sports writer Ben Byrd always walked around with his hands in his pocket.

Sounds like a behavior that may have been forced on him as a child by his parents. Just became habit after that. If you notice King Charles always keeps his hands in his suit jacket pockets.

His "schtick" is very close to John Ward's. Go back and listen to older broadcasts with the legend and see if you do not detect very similar patterns in the delivery. Someone should create a poll about who does and does not like Mike Keith. Finally, why does it matter if he keeps his hands in his pockets? I am sure most have a trait that others might feel is different or odd.

He learned his "schtick" from Mr. Ward, so that tracks.
