Yeah, they dead.
(Maybe a 1% chance Elias isn't dead...but I'm pretty sure they're toast)

Edit: Yeah, show runners said they killed them off as part of setting up a changed world next season.
Interesting. I guess they are going to dedicate the alleged last season to it being maybe a fight between the machines.
I'll give them a chance because I've really liked the show so far...but on the surface that doesn't exactly sound all that fun.
From what the article said, Harold and friends will be blind for the first few episodes while they "rebuild" the machine. With only a 13 episode run, I'll be interested to see how they play it since there won't be any 'numbers' to save, etc.
The wait is finally over for Person of Interest fans. The fifth and likely final season of CBS crime procedural drama will premiere on May 3 and will get double-pumped, with originals in its old Tuesday 10 PM slot as well as Monday at 10 PM. For the first three weeks on Tuesday, POI will have originals of NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans as a lead-in, before the two dramas wrap their seasons.
Definitely sounds like this is the final season, because they are obviously burning through the episodes as fast as possible.
I just hope they wrote the season with a definite end if this is it, unless they have some kind of idea that another network or streaming service will pick it up. Personally I'm kind of over this show so I hope they wrap it up.
Person Of Interest To End After 5 Seasons
The charade is over CBS has finally confirmed that the upcoming fifth season of Person of Interest will indeed be its last.
Were extremely excited to be able share this final season with the fans, creator/executive producer Jonah Nolan and executive producer Greg Plageman said in a statement. Were eternally grateful to our amazing cast and crew, as well as our partners at the studio and network. Most of all, we want to thank the shows fans the best fans in the world. This subversive little paranoia-inducing cyberpunk-thriller is for you and would not have been possible without your support. As life has come to imitate Person of Interest, its been our great privilege to work on the show for the past five seasons. We cant wait for you to experience this thrilling and final chapter.
All the signs had been pointing to a pending cancellation POI in May was given a reduced, 13-episode order for Season 5, it was left on the bench for fall and was not scheduled until today. In January, executive producer J.J. Abrams articulated fans worst fear that the upcoming fifth season of POI would likely be its last.
The only heartbreak there is how much good story there was to come if it were to have continued, he said, confirming that Nolan and Plageman were treating the upcoming episodes as the series last. Jonah Nolan and Greg Plageman have done such an amazing job on the show.
Also in January, CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller indicated that a decision on the future of POI likely wont be made until Season 5 airs.
POI, from Warner Bros. TV and J.J. Abrams Bad Robot, was a breakout when it launched in September 2011 as CBS new Thursday anchor. But while fellow WBTV-produced CBS dramas Without A Trace and The Mentalist got to spend four seasons on Thursday before they were moved to another night, POI was transplanted after only two seasons. It did OK in its new Tuesday 10 PM slot, performing in line with other CBS dramas, which were picked up for full seasons in May, including Hawaii Five-O, NCIS: LA and Elementary. These shows are all owned by CBS, making millions for the company via off-network syndication deals, and will likely be renewed again for next season. POI also has an off-network deal with WGN America, which benefits WBTV.
Have followed this show from day one, but it was not the same after Carter was killed off.

The first season or 2 were both good but after that it started going downhill. It's never been great but after Carter left and they brought Shaw in it just became kinda meh. The acting and all has never been all that good, but it was better than most network shows.
They also did the show a disservice moving it all over the schedule. It was doing fine on Thursdays.
I'm starting to believe hardly any of them will survive.
Sucks that CBS blew through most of the episodes instead of giving it a proper 12-13 week run. The ratings have been the worst ever and it's not surprising. I guess at the least they are going to let the last 3 episodes have their own week.
