At some point, Tennessee basketball has to break that "barrier" to become a relevant program. There are only 4 teams in the SEC that have NEVER made it to a Final 4, and I'm ashamed to say our beloved Vols are in that group. It's so hard to believe with the amount of fan support we have. The past two seasons have had a perfect road paved for the Vols to get there but they have come up short both times due to " freakish" types of plays from the opponents. Sometimes I think it just becomes a mental thing and the burden is so strong it's hard to accomplish. Sort of like when Vanderbilt knew they were going to lose to us in football for 30 years, but now they have broken that barrier and expect to win. I just hope Barnes can do what it takes to get us there.
This post brought this question to my mind.
Which program had the better 3 year period???
South Carolina or Tennessee
