Thats not represented in any of the articles I read. Either way its still insulting.
"You can't understand how hard this is to get done," Kiffin said. "[UT assistant coach] Eddie [Gran] had this set up at 7 o'clock in the morning. [Richardson's aunts] got the papers signed by the kid. They didn't go do it at the school because they knew somebody at the school was going to screw it up. The fax machine wouldn't work, or they would have changed the signatures, all the things that go on in Pahokee now. The aunts took it over to a junior high, found a fax machine that worked and faxed them over to us at 7 o'clock, and I kept it in a drawer till their 1 o'clock press conference."
I must be reading that differently than you because to me that sounds extremely insulting as if the office staff at PHS is completely idiotic.
Hey utvolpj...as I remember the article he criticized Pahokee high school for tampering with Nuke's commitment letter. This accusation offended not only the coach, the town residents, and school faculty... basically saying they were idiots because they couldnt fax a piece of paper.
It's all good: Kiffin apologizes by phone to Pahokee; Vols are welcome 'any day, any time' GoVolsXtra
I can't say as I recall Meyer making any claims in the same ballpark as those made by Kiffin who, I remind you, still has yert to coach his first SEC game.
As for your post-script, I see onece again reference to the gaytors. Very clever. For a piece of driftwood.
