Per Volfan X: 8 players put on notice by Kiffin

I don't think there's any way that he'll turn down a recruit based on hair length. If that was the case he would've told Je'Ron Stokes to find another school.

His doesn't even hang out of his helmet.....

I was offered a job at Eastman two weeks ago. I was told I'd have to shave my goatee during the first interview so the 2nd time around it was gone. It all depends on the maturity level of the person. It's time for some of these guys to mature.

It was no secret that Cut was the disciplinarian under Fulmer. This is the same message that Cut delivered many times. You're just hearing it from Coach Kif because he doesn't have a full staff. Once February rolls around you won't hear about Kif telling players to cut their hair anymore - it'll come from someone else.

Orange blazers and ties for the Vol walk. Uniformity! No one stands out. Let the "T" stand for team for awhile.

Can we put swstikas or "CCCP" on the blazers? Seems only fair that if you're going to steal someone's gimmick, you should at last give them a nod.

Listening to Basilio's show from this morning, and apparently Volfan X has told him that at least 8 players have been put on notice that their next mistake will be their last mistake in Knoxville. Also was reported on the show that a player came by to talk to him and before he could finish his first sentence, he was told to go get a haircut. Also speculation of a mass exodus as Lane gets the trash out and gets his players in this spring.

This is crazy! If a kid can play ball ,we need them to do just that! what they look like shouldnt matter. As long as it dosent indanger them. i would hate to get my hair pulled out by the roots!

Wow! Not sure you understand the term uniformity. Ever actually been part of team? Probably not old enough to grasp the concept.

I am starting to agree with the concept of not allowing new posters to post until they have earned the right with hopes that time would allow them to interject something where they don't wind up looking like a jackass/troll.

Guarantee I've been on teams that accomplished more than any you've ever been involved with and I understand the concept just fine. All "uniformity" serves to do is bring the strong and the smart down to the level of the weak and moronic. It is a celebration of mediocrity. I can see from the quality of your posts why that would appeal to you.

I'm not in favor of strict uniformity either. What I have said is a lack of discipline has been part of our teams lackluster play. This poor game day play has not been as noticeable on the defensive side. I think part of that has been some semblance of discipline from Chavis. IMO if players are thinking more about how I can look good instead how can I help the team win, the result is exactly what we have been seeing.

Discipline has to start with doing what the coach tells you.

discipline is fine. Military style haircuts all around is just unfair.

No where have I advocated military haircuts, but I think hair well outside of the helmet is hazardous. If I were on defense, and had the opportunity to grab a handful of a running backs hair, I would do so.

I agree with that. Guys in the NFL who have dreads are well aware of the risks but continue to do it. Chris Johnson said in an interview that he has had 3 dreads atleast ripped out this year.

Would you bite and scratch him as well? :p

When I played in high school, biting in the pile-ups was not uncommon. I was bitten a couple of times, but I never did it. I did try to kick the ******* who bit me, and drew a 15 yd penalty. When you are on defense you just lose all thought of civility, and want to hurt somebody.
