Per Volfan X: 8 players put on notice by Kiffin

It's all about perception. We have had a "blackeye" for some time (Fulmer Cup) when it comes to discipline.

this could be seen as CLK "cleaning up" the program. I don't see a problem with CLK telling his players that.

Yeah the Fulmer cup started by a gator and never won by UT is clearly a black eye. Using the FC to make a point is useless

Well if Pope has no hair come spring - then we better not see any dreads hanging out of helmet either.

If a head ball coach wants him to cut his toe nails...he better cut his toe nails. It looks like it's going to be the Kiffin way or the Highway. A football players hair isn't above the word "TEAM". If Kiff wants it trimmed up, then trim it up.

Telling a guy to get his hair cut is stupid!

If your employer told you to get a haircut or be fired would you?

Whether you agree or disagree these student athletes are a representation of the university. Clean them up so they look respectful on TV. Clean their act up CLK

It was named the Fulmer Cup because of the previous season. We would hold the record if it was around a season earlier.

I don't care who started. It is a GREAT example to show that the University of Tennessee was associated with a title like the Fulmer Cup. I didn't say we won it or who invented it...just saying that it all goes down to perception. And we were linked to it because of the name.

Yes, it is.

Does it affect his on field performance? How about his grades? His moral character?

No, but it affects perception, and thats huge. Your not going to go to a job interview in a wifebeater and gym shorts are you? It's not like he has to get it buzzed or anything, but he needs to make it at least presentable.

Yeah, the dreads are okay to an extent. When it's hanging down to the middle of your back, they need to shorten up a little. Think there is a difference in looking like a mountain man and still having long hair but looking presentable.

And another thing...if you don't believe we had a blackeye with discipline with the Fulmer regime you must have had your head in the sand.

Perception by stupid people doesn't mean anything. The overuse of it to prove a "point" on this board gets ridiculous

Why? That's stupid imo. Dreads are nastier that "mountain man" hair if we're talking about cleanliness.

Man...sounds like someone hates life, or had a employer tell ya to cut your hair.
