Per Thamel: Heupel informed team this morning that Vols would move on from Nico.

He's not going to Oregon.

From ESPN: Tennessee was aware that Iamaleava's representatives had reached out to at least one other school, Oregon, prior to the start of spring practice, sources told ESPN, but Oregon said it wasn't interested.
Washington is the team I think, if not USC.

There is still one way Nico could turn this around. He could make a public statement that he made a mistake and is severing all tie with his family as far as business or representation goes, ask to be allowed to return at his original salary, and most importantly, ask his teammates to forgive him.
I don’t expect it to happen; but it is the one way he could salvage his reputation.
I respectfully disagree. Nico's move burned all bridges with teammates, Heupel, the athletic department in general, and fans.

nope there's absolutely no way things can work out at this point. Nico would be absolutely crucified any time he missed a throw, threw a pick or ran out of bounds short of the line to gain. and as far as the team goes they can never trust him again it would be cancer in the locker room from now on.

I can only pray that Nico and his family get stonewalled Colin Kaepernick style and he ends up at a DII school with no money.

Unfortunately, there are some programs with deep pockets that will take a chance on him, regardless of the baggage he carries with him. He won't be in the SEC though, so that's a plus.

He is not that mature yet

Well he’s not beating out Carson Beck and then he’d have 2 years to start since he can’t redshirt again.

I think he’s going somewhere on the West Coast. This is a wild situation. I’m not gonna bash Nico. It’s unfortunate it came to this.

I wish the kid well but ready to move forward with what we have. Can’t be a Me person in a We sport. GBO!
It would be funny if he wound up at D2 or JUCO

Did you miss the post above that indicated Nico was a pain to deal with in the NIL? He "ghosted" autograph and meet/greet events. Starting to look like it's not just the parents in this one. Apple/tree thing.

Yeah, I really thought a weasel like Lincoln Riley was involved in this but apparently not.

Somewhere like SMU where $4M is couch cushion money might take him.

What are you smokin' dude-----this ship has sailed. You can't have a cancer in the locker room, and this is full blown cancer-----stage 4

In retrospect, this guy might not have been the best idea. G-Class attitude, Isuzu Trooper results.

Yes—the warning signs were there. Pajama pants, flashy jewelry, all the hype, etc. We were just so fragile as a program that we were desperate for any elite QB prospect to sign. He was a big prospect to land, but now our program is on solid footing, and it’s all about team chemistry. Can’t have cancers in the locker room and this renegotiation had to be a big one. I think coach made the right choice and we’ll be better for it in the long haul. We won’t be the only team this happens to, but at least prospects will know we don’t put anyone above the best interest of the team. A TN football player has it as good as anyone in the country. Facilities, fans, coaches, and gameday atmosphere is top notch. If you’re loyal to TN, our fans will love you forever. That’s a special thing that money simply cannot buy.

Power T, no one is bigger than the Power T! We fired John Majors, we fired Phil Fulmer, Nico leaving the Hill isn't not a big deal.
