A caller on the Sports Fix tried to get Brady Ackerman and Chris Doering to agree with him that it was going to be hard for Kiffin at UT to reach Fulmer's level, especially in recruiting.

Chris Doering's exact response was "I want to buy stock in TN football right now. This is a program on the rise and expect the rivalry to be like it was in the 90's once again. They have the best recruiting staff in the country. Lane Kiffin has USC pedigree and is known for his offensive mind."

Both agreed that Coach O is the best recruiter in the busines, CLK is a more than competent OC and Monte Kiffin is a legend who will be great in the SEC. It's so nice to hear ignroant Gator fans shut down by their own local talk radio programs. I also commend Chris Doering and Brady Ackerman for not being homers. I enjoy listening to their program and I think they have a good take on things.

I've heard Doering doesn't get along with Urban Meyer, so he's no friend of their program.

I heard that too. It floored me to hear Gator homers make those comments.

I think they know that when Timmy is gone and CUM leaves for ND or the NFL they will drop quick.

UF has the whole defense back next year -- but then they graduate most of the team.

Nothing like unbiased reporting. Calling is as you see it no matter where you live is a dying art.

The only people doubting our staff, and our program publicly are homers from Bama, and UF, and the only reason we don't hear anything from LSU is because they don't know how to use a computer.

They usually aren't too bad and both are definitely Spurrier guys. It's usually the people that they have on from GatorCountry.com that piss me off. They had a guy on this morning who called CLK an attention-whore. I could tell that Doering and Ackerman thought it was funny but out of line.

It amazes me that they can be objective here in Gville but most of the TN talk radio just want to bash Kiffin. How has the reaction been on talk radio about the recruiting violation accusations?

The first reaction from some of the gators in my office was "Cr*p, they finally caught Urban!"

...followed by relief.

how much you want to bet there's a whole host of Gator fans that think of Doering just like a whole host of Volnatino think of Will Overstreet?:eek:lol:

On a serious note, that guy did know what it was like to play for a brash guy that was full of confidence adn swagger. the teams he played on in the 90's reflected that. he probabyl sees a little bit of that in kiffin.

Given some time, this team will reflect it's coach, and i expect to see Tennessee football back with a swagger in the future.

That is not the reaction on the talk radio 102.3...the Talk Monster in Chattanooga. They are on now....and they love what Kiffin did. Think it is just great.

:thumbsup: They both came off as being very impressed. And I'm sure a lot of UF fans view them similar to how we view Overstreet. However, they at least will admit that Meyer is a good coach.

Why does everyone hope Urban leaves for Notre Dame? I want him to stay and UT beat his ass into submission!! Enough with this crap, Meyer can stick around as long as he wants. UT just needs to give him the same treatment he has given them.

I was talking about that with my coworker. I want to see how Urban does against our new staff after next year. I want our staff to be the reason he leaves Gville, not a job at ND.

I think most of us would agree that it won't hurt to lose to the Gators again if UT is hitting until the last wistle of the forth quarter. I want to see a saftey blitz on the last play of the game and have Berry put Timmy out just before he takes a knee.

So, maybe I'm wrong..but isn't Pete Carrol a defensively-minded coach? Why would he be calling offensive plays over his OC? Kiffin will probably be doing that here over Chaney...but he is an offensively-minded coach.

Coach O will be going down to florida and grabbing a lot of top talent from UF, fsu and miami. They will not like it, but that's life.
