I don't think we will ever know the true story. No matter what anyone says , there are so many rumors atp we will never know exactly what went down.

Of course, if DR had known he was suspended, then he'd probably transferred. Maybe Dools didnt want to lose the guy so he sat on the results until he couldnt sit on them anymore.

Im glad DR is gone for good but if the results have been known awhile, Dooley didnt handle this right IMO.

DT's are random I don't think we know when results came back if that has anything to do with it. Could have been Monday for all we know.

Rucker said he was a cancer and it was a failed drug test and he was told by coaching staff that he would have to sit out the NC State game. Following that decision, Rogers decided to blow up on the coaches and that's where they cut the rope and let him go. Rucker and Swain said that Rogers does not make this team and this team will be absolutely fine without him. They said extra baggage is never good and to all the haters, drop it, because now the team chemistry can flow nicely. They also mentioned that this team reminds them of the 2007 team which played for an SEC title.

What are you talking about! Everyone this is not what Rucker said. He said that his guess would be that this how it went down. GUESSiNG. Mods delete this thread it is highly in correct. I will post a thread later if you want me too and a link to the pod cast so everyone can actually hear what he said.

I'm very surprised no ones mentioned this yet. While we did play in the SECCG in 07 (I was there), we also lost to our 2 biggest rivals by like a combined 200 points.

And by the way that radio show is actually the best show in Knoxville. If you don't listen to TSR I feel for you and understand why your negative about the vols all the time. Eric Ainge show is awesome. Cris Trece show is awesome and the swain and Rucker show is awesome.

Speaking of the '98 season-- I remember thinking when Jamal Lewis tore his ACL in the Georgia that our season was going down the tubes, because he was our best player. But other players stepped up in his absence. The point is that one player does not make a team.
