Rivals is indicating that we had a good weekend with respect to committed recruits which visited other schools. It appears we did not lose anyone and the recruits contacted indicated they remain solid to UT.

I hope they're right bc these young men need to be Vols! Very excited about the direction of our program, but our turn around begins and ends with recruiting top notch, talented young men! Go Vols!

Santos was visited by Texas on Wednesday, either before or after Sunseri's visit with Santos on Wednesday. He has been offered by Texas and will visit Texas.

I'm not sold on the kid's honesty with our staff.

It doesn't matter how Texas is doing. Kids who grow up and play football in the state of Texas usually dream of playing for them. There are exceptions of course, but in general, this is how things are.

What has Texas done the last two years? At least we had younger players. Texas has had no excuse. There is about 5 or 6 teams in the SEC that could whip Texas.

Got news for you Texas has been very young as well. They started 2 Fr. QB's last year and a true soph the year before that transferred. They played as many Fr. last year as almost anybody, definitely in the top 5.

If Ash pans out, they will be back in a BIG way next year.

Granted our relationship is not the same with Texas that it is with Kentucky, but I want Santos to be our Randall Cobb. I want Texas to hate themselves for getting on him late and him still signing with us.........but hey who in VolNation doesn't?

Santos is enjoying the recruiting process. Every young man loves to feel wanted. On NSD, Santos will be a VOL.

Texas needs to replace Fulmer... err, I mean Brown.

I know the instate draw is huge for Texas but NO ONE has wasted more talent than Mack Brown.

We should be concerned. Anytime a recruit that is "comminted" to a school and visits another school, there should be concern. It is his home state school also. Let's face it,Texas is a top five program.

Huge threat.

Agree. I'm well aware of his comments after Sunseri's visit and I concede that he may very well be enjoying his time on the recruiting trail but anyone who discount's the threat of the hometown, historically elite, program is kidding themselves.

Santos has been one of my favorites since he committed but, his comments after Sunseri's visit notwithstanding....I'm not sold this kid is a VFL until he signs his LOI to the REAL UT.
