Per Locked on UCLA. Team Nico back shopping

Not G5 but Miami and Texas Tech might play a lot of teams that qualify as "not playing defense" in their conferences.
Miami or TT aren’t going to take him imo. TT has a talented young QB already there. Miami can get better in the transfer portal. Nico will go where his daddy tells him to just like he always has; it likely will be a worse situation for him than UCLA is bc there he is the guaranteed starter.

They don’t want him. Thats his dad planting little rumors to writers to make it appear that Nico still has some stock value.
I suspect it's more than just pops starting rumors. When Joel Klatt accused Tennessee of an unfair PR campaign to make it seem Nico left because of NIL issues, my first thought was the Iamaleava camp was buying him to spin that narrative. Wouldn't be surprised as the transfer rumors start in earnest, other sports sites might also be paid to further pump up the perceived demand for Nico.

I kinda question whether or not we are seeing the end of the bonus baby QBs straight outta high school.

Face it, how many of these guys since 2021 have actually panned out? Most of the early guys are on their second or third school or like Arch have some questions.

Hell, with what Aguilar is doing I can see some coaches starting to sign great G5 guys with 2 years left and rolling with them. Cheaper and more mature so you kinda know what you are getting

I know Heupel has Brandon coming in and George sitting on the branch right now, but I gotta wonder if he doesn't eventually go this route also

I think that is the way to go. Save the money and spread it around the rest of your team.

Yup. You put 90% of QBs behind a good line and give them great receivers and a strong running game and they can hurt you badly.

I can certainly see some of the more cash strapped programs going that route. Eventually though, everyone is gonna be cash strapped with the expectations these guys seem to have now

Says Tex Tech or Miami may be the destination. Says Nico will probably play the season but still no guarantees

I’ve been saying since that second loss that this is a sinking ship and he’s going to getting out before the year ends
