Honestly, I'm surprised we're not much louder. When you compare tv images of stadiums like T A&M and LSU, they seem to have way more students and high energy people in their stadiums for the games. Having been to tons of games, I frequently felt out of place standing and screaming during the game. Not trying to bash anyone or any demographic of our fanbase, I just think we do have many fans who go to the games thinking we have should live by "movie theater" rules. With all of our games in HD on tv now, I'd think these people would rather stay in the comfort of their homes and let the wilder folk fill the stadium. :twocents:

This is why imo Oregon has a loud stadium . No history so no old people

I , we, were called "pathetic" and a terrible fan base because we held a multi-millionaire coach accountable for blowing 3 consecutive double digit leads.

Yet the stadium stays full in support of the players, as it should.

Some people get upset when they think what they are following or believe in isn't 100% the best thing out there. It affects their herd mentality.
No. Y'all are called terrible because you DO bash the team. Players and coaches. It doesn't matter the topic either. Most who do this don't go to games either. And don't kid yourself, you and the loud minority haven't held this staff to a damned thing. All you've done is look pathetic.

Was at LSU UF last night. Netyand was definitely louder in UGA game.

And they had fans that sat whole game too.

IMO this whole thing about reading which stadium is louder is just a sham bit for ESPN, every time I see them reading numbers it's off a cheap handheld sound level meter(and different ones I will add) that you can buy from a local department store. In order for these tests to be accurate you need to conduct the test in exactly the same fashion, placing the microphone in the exact location and use the exact same meter. Those cheap meters can give up to 20dbs difference between units, let alone meter placement that can have such a huge gap it's pointless to even try to do this unless you do it exactly the same. If they want to use handheld spend more than $20, these are the best of the best.

You could go out there with a $10 meter from radio shack or one that costs thousands from NASA and Neyland is going to be the loudest every time.

It sounded like a jet engine, before that one play, when Baker Mayfield went to the line of scrimmage to audible.

The loudest stadium this year. During the LSU / FL game they said it was up to 105 decibels and that Neyland has been the loudest so far this year during the OK game when it hit 114 decibels.

Even CBS mentioned it yesterday during the Bama/aTm game...

Three or four times in the Georgia game I had to literally put my fingers in my ears...they were physically hurting....

If you get a chance to watch the game again after one series in the first half he's telling an assistant coach (who apparently was trying to give him some instructions the next time he's on the field) that "I CAN NOT HEAR" and looks at the coach with total disbelief that he's telling him something that obviously requires everyone hearing him....

Everyone complains about our blue hairs, but if you consider this thread then our blue hairs must be louder than any other fan base blue hairs.

Go Blue Hairs!!!!!

If the little meter they show on the monitors is halfway close, it topped out at the Georgia game.
