You got lucky as **** on the first one cause that play was TD....the blitz was covered easy...you gotta watch the replay

Given the result of that play, the blitz was not covered easily. Otherwise Bray wouldn't have thrown the ball away inside the tackle box with without a UT receiver anywhere in the vicinity of the pass.

I credit the D for taking advantage of that mistake. Thanks to your TE, it didn't have to be an overpowering blitz.

And I've watched the replay several times. I'm not sure what you want me to do, short of sending a fruit basket to your TE.

FL's D has been tip top in the 2nd half of their last 2 games....I looked up their DC today just to see who the guy is....he's been around.... Looks like Capt. Love Stain made a good hire

Right, why would there be any need to run the ball in the sec. We resells don't need to play defense either. As the matter of a fact the kicking game should be enough to put us in sec title contention

We ran the ball fine.

The defense was not gassed. Look at the drive logs. We came out with a 12 play drive to start the 3rd quarter for a TD.

I can't believe I have to post the obvious but Muschamp was in panic mode when he went with the fake punt. The missed block on the first play of the next series sucked.

UF scored two two TD in 4 plays because of misalignment >>>> not because we were worn down.

We were in control and should have won by 2 TDs.

I would just like to add to the conversation Florida is not that great we are just that bad. They are way behind the big boys and the qb running the ball has been exposed now and that will be takng away by the good teams. Then all you have to do is watch Burton and his speed (Florida has always had a fast player or two on the etam) have someone that can block for the qb 4 quarters and run some and the Gators are toast. We are a bad team..........still and that starts with the coaches. UT has to recruit a great running back .

That last statement you made shows your ignorance. The Vols are NOT very good at anything. If we are so damm good,they sure didn't show it in the second half.

See Bama stat line in every game. Run the ball, play good defense. It works. I would prefer to run the ball between the tackles and punish a defense for four quarters than throw for 500 yards a game. But that's just me

This is the dumbest thread I've ever seen.

Did you see what happened the other night?

1. We Get ball
2. 1st Down - Pass, Incompletion
3. 2nd Down - Pass, Incompletion
4. 3rd Down - Pass, Incompletion
5. Punt.

We have an offense that is used to big plays. It typically goes that we get a big play within the first three plays, and we move the chains, another big play, and there we go.

The problem with that, is that when our passing game is off, or when we're defended well, like we were against Florida, then we deflate every time we get a 3 and out.

We need to have a rushing game to get those good chips of yardage that allow us to not depend on the big plays.

It's better to get 3 yards, 5 yards, and then only have a 3rd and 2, as opposed to trying to nail a 3rd and 9 or longer. Plus, it just makes us depend on the big play even more when we lose yardage in the run game.

Our offense just got deflated because we've become too dependent on the big play. Understand, that's awesome, and I love it when we do it, I wish every play could be that way. But you sometimes have to learn to grind it out too. When this team grinds it out, instead of depending on 10-50 yard plays, then we'll see some better football.

We just need to establish a better running game. If we could make every 3rd down 5 yards or less, we have much better success in my opinion.

Are you kidding me? Did you miss the part in Saturday's game when UT abandoned the run and went 3 consecutive 3 and outs? You absolutely have to run the friggin' ball.

When you can run the ball, YOU DONT HAVE TO PASS. Florida proved that point.

Teams MUST run the ball.
