Sadly, no coolers allowed for the game. And any bag has to be a clear one no bigger than 12 x 12 x 4. Hubby and I were at the track this past Saturday and saw them stocking beer. :)

Rumor is we will have to go thru a metal detector, so if you're bringing in your own 'refreshments', make sure there's nothing detectable on it.

A few years ago I was walking to Thompson Boling for a bball game with a beer. As I got in line to go inside I finished it, walked over to the trash can, threw it in, no big deal right? A police officer monitoring the line made a pretty big scene out of it.. Told me that he could and should cite me for it. Someone else in line came to my defense and said something like "we do it all the time during football season," and the officer said "well this ain't football season." In the end, I learned my lesson and don't play around with that kinda stuff anymore. I just drink at the tailgate and sober up in the game. I know, cool story bro

when I was in school, I always tucked airplane bottles into my socks. Never had them check my ankles.

The alcohol ban bothers me less as I've gotten older and getting drunk/being around drunks has become much less attractive. It still irks me, though, that there are different rules for the class of people that sit in the skyboxes.

This is all 100% correct, and I have experienced both scenarios. Of course, fall-out belligerent drunks are more likely to be denied entry.

You are kidding, right.? Drinking at the game is, well, the reason for going to the game. Been drinking at the Vols games since 1965. Have never been drunk inside Neyland, but, sometimes I've wished I was. GO VOLS!!!!

that's why i don't enter thru gate 10 or 21. but, i went thru 14 last week, with wallet and phone already out and in hand, and cop still patted me down. first time that's happened at those gates. he didn't feel the two airline bottles i had behind the belt.

and i have only noticed fans being forced to turn over the alcohol. never have i seen them be denied entry. this is RECENTLY, too... not something that happened 30 years ago like some of these responses.
