Now that all the Gordon and Smith smoke is settling you should notice that we have interest from quite a few people. Right now we are leading for Maurice Thomas and have a juco guy coming in maybe this weekend. Pearl is bout to get the job done his personality is just too good to pass up IMO.

There was a link on Pearl's site about him making a top 50 list. Turns out that Pearl and Buzz made some kind of sexiest coaches list. I wonder what LIO thinks about that. :dlol:

I read an article on ESPN by Dick Vitale. He wrote that of all the coaching changes that were made in college basketball this year, Bruce Pearl to Tennessee is the one that caught his attention the most. He says he is an great coach and can "flat-out" recruit. Says his personailty is infectious and that once he gets settled in, that Tennessee fans are in for excitment galore in Knoxville, BABY!

I' telling guys, I truly believe that Bruce Pearl is gonna turn us into a consistent Top 25 basketball program and will have us making nice runs in the tournament.

im going with that too, and ill go even bolder.. i say he goes to the NBA after one year at UNC and gets drafted 8th by lets say The Charlotte Bobcats and then gets traded to the Warriors... just a wild assumption.. im crazy like that

Did you know that of all the seasons BP has been a head coach, only one season hasn't been a 20-win year?

He coached one season at UW-Milwaukee that was 16-13 (I believe). I also believe it was his first year as a D-I Head coach.

Just checked and I was right.

His second lowest season was a 20 win season two years before he became our head coach (the next year UW-M won 26)

He's an incredible coach. Turned a completely terrible USI basketball team into a national powerhouse in D-II, and is an even better person.
