That's rather clever, and it's not something I would have thought about ...

BTW, next time you're in Vegas, check out Stripsteak in Mandalay. The fare there is delicious! Had dinner there last week with my wife and a few other relatives - it was a very nice experience.

I'll be in Vegas in a couple of weeks for the Mountain West tournament. Stripsteak is now officially added to my list of restaurants for this trip.

You won't regret it. Michael Mina's take on the traditional American steak house is something to behold.

When it comes to side-dishes, the truffle-infused mac & cheese is worth it and then some. I had the bone-in filet (Angus) as my entree, but they have multiple grades of Kobe beef (American and Japanese) too if that's your thing. My aunt ordered the Kobe beef hamburger and loved it.

Anyway, enjoy!

Maybe I'm naive, but I think Pearl will be here a very long time. He has said he has been poor most of his life, and he now has real money, and is grateful to UT for that. He appreciates the oppurtunity given to him, and he seems to be a genuine person. Of course, if UK comes calling, with a $2.5 mill per year offer...

There is no chance Kentucky will be calling on Pearl.. He has about the same chance of getting that job as I do.

Keep in mind Pearl's son is enrolled at UT and is on the team. Plus I really do believe Pearl loves Knoxville, and I think he feels he can build a great team here. He also has a good relationship with Pat Summit, Mike Hamilton, and he brought back Bernard King. Pearl likes this place too much to leave for a team that isn't even as good as ours regardless of their tradtition.

Besides, with the money Pearl is racking up right now for us, do you honestly believe UT won't up the antie if he gets offered another job????

Oh yeah, I forgot how beautiful Bloomington is in February. Just like heaven on earth.
