“Take the peanut butter sandwich, a seemingly innocent example a teacher used in a lesson last school year,” the Tribune said.
“What about Somali or Hispanic students, who might not eat sandwiches?” Gutierrez asked. “Another way would be to say: ‘Americans eat peanut butter and jelly, do you have anything like that?’ Let them tell you. Maybe they eat torta. Or pita.”

Peanut butter and jelly is white privilege?

Maybe Somali or hispanics are racists because they don't eat sandwich bread.

agreed. Had a cafeteria lady ask me if I wanted a pb & j, "whitebread" when I was 9. Pretty much a maliciously racist comment

Sensitive liberal educators = mofo's. Now I ask you, is white bread more racist than whole wheat bread? Are people going to start identifying you as a racist by the bread you pick to eat a sammich? The PC police have gone too damn far & are just plain idiots.

So a Chinese guy I worked with used to be called a banana but his co-workers - yellow on the outside; white on the inside.

Banana's are racist.

Wow, I guess it proves I am not a racist after all. Peanut Butter, if I'm not mistaken, is the invention of a genius black man. Here I am a white man addicted to his invention years later. If you haven't tried peanut butter, bananas and mayo you haven't lived.
