Paxton Brooks on preseason watch list for the Ray Guy Award

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Augusta Sports Council announced Wednesday that Tennessee senior punter Paxton Brooks is one of 49 candidates named to the preseason watch list for the Ray Guy Award, which annually honors the nation’s top collegiate punter in the FBS. Paxton winning this would be amazing ; since hopefully Tennessee won't be Punting that much. I had the pleasure of meeting Ray Guy appx 5 years ago, a very nice Man, and a surprisingly Big Man too. Must be 6'5.

Wiki lists him as 6'3" and 195 lbs.
Also, 42.4 yds per punt for a career average is phenomenal, especially considering he booted the ball over 1,000 times !!!

If Paxton holds to his average of around 43 or 44 yds per punt he should be a finalist for the award...
That said, I hope he never gets the opportunity to punt this season and we break some kind of TD per possession record.
