Pavia > Hooker ?

I’ll say it again. Statistically, Hendon Hooker is the 2nd best QB to ever suit up for the Orange. SEC POY and unanimous all conference. Hooker was also as valuable to that Tennessee squad as Pavia is to Vandy.
I agree.

But I would also say transfer qbs unfortunately aren’t held in the same regard as recruited studs in the mind of most Vol fans, which is a rare thing to find these days. Heupel consistently has proven he can win with just about any senior qb with a pulse. But I digress

Controversial take, sure to ruffle some feathers, but statistically Pavia’s current 2025 season is on track to surpass Hooker’s 2022 Heisman campaign. I know I was surprised too.

Pavia (through 11 games)
224/312
71.8 comp percentage
2,924 yards
26 tds
6 ints
SOS #2

Hooker (11 games - injured vs sc)
229/329
69.6 comp percentage
3,135 yards
27 tds
2 ints
SOS #27

What say you?
He smokes Hendo on the arrogance meter, but one had 25 more TD than INT, and one has 20.

Need to see your backup on those SOS numbers.

Would take HH all day, every day and twice on Saturdays for the rest of my life. Not even close. Have HH’s running stats also been considered? HH is not only a better QB but a great leader and super high integrity guy. Comparison is not even close!!!

So what’s statically better? He has marginally a better completion %, that’s it.

He's not even close to being better than Aguilar or equal to Hooker.... 😂 😂 😂

Sorry, I was just reading all the articles and seeing all the Heisman voters
that think Pavia has a good chance of coming to New York for the reveal.
Missed all the JA articles about him being #1 qb in the SEC

How many pair of orange shades you have?

Good...he can come and reveal that he has no shot of winning it.

The Heisman means jack squat, Aguilar has better stats and has played a tougher schedule.

Hooker was much better, and Pavla won't even sniff the NFL being shorter than Zeiglar.

You'll see today that you better stick to babysitting, because your sports takes are trash

If tn had him it would not equate to a nc
Vanderbilt's "dream season" relies on 3 things and Diego and his trashy family have little to do with it.

- Lea who is 10-30 in the SEC brought in tons of seniors from other programs in an attempt to build an average SEC team's worth of depth, which is why everything relies on this season and then he will fade back to normal
- Vandy's schedule allowed them to avoid most of the upper half of the SEC and allowed them to avoid the better teams
- LSU and Mizzou ended up being mediocre teams, and lost both of their critical starting QBs to injury. If Mizzou's QB doesn't get hurt by a cheap shot vs Vandy, they likely lose that game easily

Who is in the mix changed throughout the day. Pavia was not included in the list that was showcased during the Texas and A&M game.

Who is the best is very subjective - always has been. Some years it is all about who had the better stats, some years it is about who is the QB for the best team (i.e. QB that manages the game the best).

I learned a long time ago that the media can influence this - that is why Manning, one of the best QB's to ever play the game, did not win the Heisman.

Tennessee QBs that are successful have always be more about the team than about the "look at me" syndrome. Players that exhibited that at Tennessee have been more disruptive than helpful.

That is typical of most teams that win a lot regularly - while some of the players may get attention, the players tend to avoid making themselves the focus.

SB nation today had Pavia #3 in Heisman race
