Paulk to be reinstated [Rumor]

Quick to judge? Little information? Really?

I admitted what I didn't know. You did read that didn't you? I also made statements about the law and police reports. These are not issues about which I have "little information."

On the other hand, you made assertions about the law and other matters about which you were obviously uninformed. I get the impression that, were you to post only about matters on which you were informed, your number of posts would certainly not be in the 4-digit range.

Do you have the police report? Do you know more than what the media released? The rest is hearsay.

Just so you guys know, I don't condone of women abuse or domestic violence. This has nothing to do with him being a prospect here. I'm playing the other side as you guys are so quick to judge with the little information you have.

Pretty sure Jones has more information than any of us. He also has a lot more to gain and a lot more to lose based upon his decision. I'll trust him to make the right one.

You have some coaches that will ignore or even cover up the truth to get players on the field. I'm glad we do not have that type coach in Jones.

I agree, He helped Marlin return & he will do the same with Paulk.

At a party at Quarry Trail Apartments a couple of miles off Tennessee's campus, Paulk and his ex-girlfriend, 18-year-old Chelsea Reese, were talking and began to argue, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

During the argument, Paulk "became very agitated and struck her in the mouth with his fist," according to the report. The blow left Reese with cuts on her lips, but she refused medical treatment. Reese met with a detective from the sheriff's Family Crisis Unit on Sunday, and the office's forensic unit took pictures of her injuries.

However, Reese is refusing to prosecute or take out an order of protection, so Paulk faces no criminal charges.

Do you ever get anything right? I stated that I was not familiar with Marlin's situation. Is English a second language for you?

I'm not alone stating this. I wasn't even directing the quote at you but you jumped the gun.

Lots of women are beaten, abused, and at times killed because they refuse to press charges in cases like this. Not pressing charges is her choice. ALL SIGNS point to the kid punched her in the face. Just because he isn't going to trial doesn't mean it didn't happen and he's innocent. Butch booted him in Sept. If he were not "guilty", he would not have been dismissed in the first place. Butch said character us #1. He allows Paulk back and imo, he is setting a very, very poor example.

I jumped the gun by responding to a quote that was not aimed at me, though your comment quoted my post? Since facts, knowledge and logic appear to be complete strangers to you, I understand your need to resort to name-calling. Pitiful and pitiable.

Might as well allowed AJ back if he allows Paulk back, imo.

Here are some more...

Among the witnesses listed in the report were Tennessee freshman linebacker Elliott Berry and two Lady Vols basketball players, Andraya Carter and Isabelle Harrison.

Reese, 18, told police that Paulk confronted Carter verbally "due to previous arguments" before approaching Reese and punching her in the mouth. She told police "all she could remember was tasting blood." Berry pulled Paulk away from Reese, according to the report.

Treyvon Paulk had history of assault, ex-girlfriend told UT police | Local News | Times Free Press

Two Lady Vols, Andraya Carter and Isabelle Harrison, were listed as witnesses on the incident report. Harrison was at the party, according to the report. Carter wasn't at the party but was in the apartment complex. Carter told police she heard several witnesses yelling, "He just hit her." Carter was with the 18-year-old when she reported the abuse to police.

Report: Ex-girlfriend says Paulk hit her multiple times

This hardly seems a case of he said/she said. And this doesn't sound like someone who should be back on our team.

The fact he dismissed Paulk and suspended AJ said a lot IMO. Paulk was guilty and that was clear hence the quick decisive move. AJ was suspended as that was a situation that had to obviously be investigated. AJ had multiple run ins/issues at UT. Imo he should have been dismissed at that point as well.

Saw Paulk today.. The dude is even bigger then when he got here.. Looks like he's bulked up for a reason

Please. someone in the the inner circle please ask Butch Jones if he is considering letting Paulk come back. I am so sick reading these rumors.

So, Marlin shouldn't have played another down at Tennessee either right? There's two sides to every story.

Marlin was cleared of all wrongdoing...after a lot of investigation of the allegation...not the same.

People who are willing to admit they are wrong and work to correct themselves by all means necessary should receive the opportunity to show others that they can change and that forgiveness and second chances can be achieved . We all make mistakes ,people can change , I have seen it .
