guess those in knoxville will get to find out today that have not listened to him and hopefully he is national now he will try and keep it fair and honest

He is pretty right on about college football, last year when LK was running his mouth and on the news all the time, he made the statement why doesn't Tn. go ahead and get rid of this guy because if they don't I predict he will be gone before his second season. He has good interviews and some serious callers, but the majority are just to laugh at. I usually run every afternoon, and his show is a good way to pass the time when running . LK gave him a lot of material for his show, I don't think that is going to happen with DD.

The only callers from around the country I heard were Bammer fans.

He predicts any coach may be gone next year. His entire schtick is about coaching (without X and O analysis). Other than good inside sources regarding coaching situations, I think the man is worthless when it comes to sports knowledge.

Classic example of his "take the negative road" approach. When UAB announced the hiring of Mike Anderson as BBall coach, Finebaum labeled it a "disaster". It was the easiest thing for him to do since he didn't know Anderson well or basketball. History will show that Anderson was highly successful at UAB leading them to the tourney 3 straight years with wins over a highly seeded LSU team and #1 seeded UK. He also beat Cal led Memphis when they were #1 and beat Huggins led Cincy and Penders led Houston among other acccomplishments.

I just had my first Paul Finebaum experience, I've read a lot about what you had to say about him....and you're all right. It was as bad as everyone had said. I had no idea that he was syndicated on XM until today. What is this world coming to when that guy can have a nationally syndicated radio show w/ all those Bama clowns calling. Wow that was awful.

Same here. I have xm and with him going on it this week, thought I'd listen to check it out. He says he is objective but is totally the opposite. Not only is he way too slanted for my taste, the show was also not entertaining in any way. The argumentative demeanor of the show was a big turnoff. I won't listen again.

It's a shame because xm put him on the same station as rivals radio which I like a lot. I hope it doesn't drag the other guys ratings down.

what makes me laugh is that he calls knoxville a bunch of toothless redneck, yet he lives in birmingham. the fact is slimebaum plays both sides of the bama-auburn fued. he'll have no problem trashing bama to get the callers fired up. i hope DD doesn't go on his show.

At least the rest of the country now knows what we have known for years--that Bammers are a bunch of dumb morons who think they invented the game of football.
