PP announces in like 5 minutes... Everyone is saying he is headed to Kentucky. :blink:

Hoping he chooses Dook.

Patterson doesn't scare me like Singleton scares me, but I'm thinking he plays with Jai at UF.

PP is a better play than Singleton.

Wow.. the Kentucky boards are pathetic....

Yesterday they were calling for his head.. today they want to make a statue for him.

I even saw on one Kentucky fans signature "The Clydinator"... and I just sighed when I saw the picture of Billy.

I don't think it does...

But someone said PP doesn't scare me as much as Singleton.. I'm pretty sure PP is the better player though.

Anyway, I'm beginning to think the Kentucky fans are on the level of the Bamers now.

They have over 1000 replies and counting on one thread in a matter of 10 minutes... and have about 20,000 people looking in on catpause for a recruit...

Some of the post are ridiculous like "SO WE'RE THE FAVORITE TO WIN THE SEC NOW RIGHT!?!" and "I JUST POOPED MY PANTS!!!!" etc etc...

Sure he will be a good player eventually... but to think he will make that big a difference this year... :eek:lol:

Morons. It's the vocal minority, remember. Most of them live in Duck Lick Creek, Kentucky.

Haha Duck Lick Creek! :rock:

Congrats on PP.. I would've liked him to go to the Dookies for obvious reasons and since Lucas went to UF atleast it balances it out.

Now let's all hope the rumors are true about Billy D. and the Magic! Can't wait till Friday!

i'm beginning to think the samething. wow he got started late and finished huge.

This is true.. BUT I believe the late start he got also helped him.

His recruiting pitch was probably "hey come play at Kentucky, I'll be bringing the Big Blue back to the top of CBB..."

Since UK is such a storied BB program a coaching shuffle like this always stirs up recruiting. I'm sure he will get his players, but this timing was probably the main reason on being able to land such a highly touted recruit this late in the game.

Thanks. Well, Tennessee has Bucksnort. ;)

Billy D. is quite curious to me, but I would expect him to be back in Gainesville this winter.

He had a nice sign in Alex Legion, a top 40 recruit, and now Patterson. He'll be a god in Lexington, at least until he loses his first game. :/

UK will be talented enough next year to give us all we want in the east. Guards/wings= Bradley,Crawford,Legion,Meeks, and Jasper.
Forwards=Stewart,Patterson, and Stevenson
Centers=Carter and Williams.

This group is talented, and the returning players should be much improved now that Tubby is gone

Congrads to Brian McCat and other quality UK fans. What I feared came to pass; Legion switches to UK; Patterson goes where he probably intended all along (UK); Lucas to Florida; Truth be known, there is NEVER an easy path to victory for UT; I'm going to start a thread on the general UT board about the worst thing to happen to UT was redesigning the SEC in 1992. The EAST has dominated the WEST in basketball and football EVERY SINGLE YEAR except the year AUB went undefeated in football.

Uhhm I believe LSU won a natl. championship... however, the East usually wins the conference championship games.
Alabama also won the national championship in '92. Every team in the West has reached the Sweet 16 since the league broke into divisional play, with three of the schools reaching the Final Four.

Billy and Pearl are going to team up for quite an SEC East tandem in the coming decade (as long as Pearl stays put).

The Patterson vs. Singleton comparisons are not very meaningful because they have completely different strenghts to their games. Patterson is a true post who is a bruiser and hard-nosed rebounder. Singleton is a weak rebounder but has much better perimeter skills than Patterson.

I agree with the premise, but "team up?" :wacko: PP/CS will, I'm sure you'll agree, become more relevant if we land him.

"Team up" in the sense of increasing exposure and making a much bigger name for the SEC East. Over the course of the next decade, I think they could be the best 1-2 coaching punch in any conference. Could be, we'll see...
