I wish the Titans could've gotten him. Mariota needs a couple more true play maker to get the ball into the hands of.

Lousy history of our Vols playing on the Nashville titans. Never liked how their front office handled Tennessee players. Glad CP is with the Raiders. :good!:

I should be excited but my Raiders are leaving for Las Vegas so now I'm a 49ers fan by default.

true, but someone that can actually run a correct route would be more helpful, we already had one of those in DGB.

how so? Pro teams don't really care what college a player attends. They cut Hunter who was terrible and wasnt physical enough, didnt matter they were a Vol or not.

They did everything but offer full ownership to get Peyton to Nashville.

Peyton recognizes a loser team.

It looks more like he's being brought in more for kickoff and punt returns.

Kick returns are now rarer than UFO sightings. Punt return? Maybe, but the days of a dedicated spot for a return specialist are fading fast. Nowadays, more teams are wisely using multiple receivers on returns in case of injuries and to confuse coverages.

It looks more like Reggie MacKenzie is throwing a lifeline to a fellow VFL the other 31 teams didn't want to take the risk for. Patterson's situation there is pretty much like someone said in the thread about Justin Hunter being picked up by Pittsburgh. If they can't perform, they won't survive the pre-season cuts, and can come back to Knoxville to become a local wrestling tag team we can watch at the Green Acres flea market.

Actually Mike Haynes was pretty good.

Haynes did not need to coat himself in 2 jumbo sized tubs of stickum an hour before the kickoff. Lester Hayes was a great player, but he will be remembered more for that than his play on the field.
