I dont know how many times he was targeted but two receptions and one carry is piss poor. He should touch the ball 15 to 20 times a game. Let him play QB and throw it to himself.

Seriously? It's not hard to coach that kind of talent. Has he developed or even marginally improved the talent he currently has here? If he has, we damn sure aren't seeing the results on the field.

You don't pay attention to this program at all obviously!

Even Sal himself said that Aj and Curt were two of the better LB's he's ever coached. And according to everyone about 5 games ago we "have te talent". Look at Mac Brown and Texas....you can have talent and play poor defense if players aren't properly developed.

Also don't leave out the details that have been repeatedly pointed out over and over and over. It takes time to prefect and 3-4 even at the pro level. Rediculous!

And Sal is right, AJ and Curt (although banged up right now) are good LBs, but he isn't just responsible for the LBs anymore is he? What has he done to improve the rest of the D? From what I'm seeing, not a damn thing.

Also sorry, but the excuse of "we went to the 3-4 and it takes time to develop" is just old. Yes it takes time to develop, but at the same time, you show me where the D has improved even a little? A well coached unit makes improvements throughout the year and yet this one hasn't. Who's fault is that?

What happened to getting Patterson more touches??? He had 3 outside of kickoffs.... I guess Chaney left that playbook in his office

Sure, I'll take a moment to educate you:

1. Run stopping up the middle
2. Interceptions
3. Playing hard for 4qtrs
4. Linebacker playcalling (betterjob of lining up this game and reading keys). I saw the defense was more prepared and made some very good d-line and LB adjustments.

Scheme hasn't been the problem!! i repeat Scheme hasnt been the problem, our position coaches need to do something about our DB's. Right now, all Sal coaches are LB's...so yea the defense as a whole has taken steps forward at times and taken steps back at times as well. I see it coming together better next year for sure. It's already looking better for longer stretches in the game.

I will say though, I'm a little surprised that Sapp hasn't gotten more playing time since he has a little more speed to keep up with some of the TE's better than Lathers.

This part of your comment was interesting. The excuse of switching to 3-4 is getting old....hahaha. Did you think everyone in the college football world was joking when they said it wouldn't be an easy transition? Gotta keep your head out of the clouds and stay grounded to reality...otherwise you will make the mistake of assuming that every task our coaches have is an easy one.
