Not to be a dick but other women's coaches who were successful have passed away due to cancer and other ailments and have not received honors of that significance. I do believe however that it would be a fantastic way to honor the greatest coach of all time but you have to look at the situation the same way the NCAA would.

I signed it and entered a short response how she taught my intermediate tennis class one summer ( when she was still Pat Head). She has a way of teaching far more than the fundamentals of a sport..she ignited a passion in me to go out every day in addition to the morning class and work hard to improve my game... it is something intangible that she possesses that lifts her far above the ordinary coach. None are more deserving than Pat to have their name on the trophy!

She is the reason there is a Women's Championship Trophy, so it might as well be named after her.
