I hate to lose anyone, even if he isn't in the 2 deep rotation. If he is a good enough overall football player, maybe he can be (well, could have been) turned into an offensive skill player or a LB with a little beefing up. Special teams too.

Not a good thing for us.

Why do we care what happens to him from here on? You're either 'with us' or you're 'not'. He chose 'not'. We've got too many others who are 'with us' to fret over than to spend any time worrying about those who aren't.

There is no way of knowing how good he could have been. Does anyone know what the reason was for the departure and what waas "mutually" agreed upon?

That sucks. He really seems like a good kid and I was looking forward to seeing him play as a Vol.

I saw him when he played at JL Mann HS. Nothing impressive about him. He played on a losing team and still didn't stand out.

Basilio claims that his "sources" have said that he wasn't picking up the defense mentally and that he would have ended up buried in the depth chart at lb. TIFWIW.
