I suppose by his logic Nick Saban was "too good" for Alabama after going 67-55 in the years between Stallings and Saban. Yet he wants to pretend we're doing this ONLY because he's a middle of the road coach and would overlook it if he was a bonafide winner.

Sorry, Pat it's the combination of mediocrity with the controversy that has created this crapstorm.

No one was fighting UT for Schiano no matter how hard Urban was trying to make a sales pitch for his buddy.

Currie got shot down a couple of times and panicked without thinking this through IMO.

He literally chose the one guy that could almost universally unite the fan base against him.

Schiano didn't have the resume for this job no matter what Forde says in hindsight. Add in the awful stories from his previous jobs and the Penn ST stench and there was good reason he wasn't listed at the top of all these searches.

If he was such a slam dunk hire like he is being made out to be then why was he coaching for his buddy Urban and why was his name not linked to FL...UCLA..NE or any other openings?

Wonder what Forde would have said if the stands were half empty and revenue dropped by 30-50%? Because that's where it was probably headed if this went through. Not to mention being stuck with another buy out.

Nothing is looking good bro's. Weve got trey. Gauritano is garbage! The rest would be riding the bench at UGA.DOBBS hid alot of sins on the past teams. Barnette and Kamara the real deal! But hey! We actually witnessed a couple of 9 win seasons. Its been along time since dominant defense. Bevy of stud running backs. By O-lines that 90% went in the draft.tenn was not an in-state powerhouse then either. I remember the days of being unranked and Vols going out each saturday to beat the dog piss out of the A.P.darlings. we had to take everything we got. Havevto figure out how to get there again.

We were told "highest integrity" "someone who could bring championships"

Well we think Greg the Douche fails on both.

I swear if this happened to some soccer team in the Middle East or Europe.........the media here would be praising their fans for sticking up for themselves, and making a difference.
