Pat Forde Article.... "The Volunteers should be favored"

I’ve seen too many times over the 50 some odd years that I’ve been following UT that I got my hopes up way too high only to see them fall flat on their face. I’ve learned to temper my expectations so that I don’t get let down. I like the progress and we certainly look capable of competing for the first time in 15 years. Heupel has done an amazing job but I’ll believe we best Bama when I see it. Line ‘em up and let the chips fall where they may. Should be a fun Saturday!

College football Week 7 features loaded game schedule - Sports Illustrated

We need to order a bigger bandwagon....

"Let’s just say this up front: the Volunteers should be favored. For the early line to favor ‘Bama by more than a touchdown is a nod to history, consistency and the assumption that Bryce Young will be 100% Saturday—but it doesn’t take into account which team has played better over the course of this season. The opportunity hasn’t been this ripe for Tennessee in the 21st century. The last time the Vols were undefeated going into the Alabama game was 1998, when they won their last national championship. "
Tennessee is getting noticed by the Nation's Sports Media i love it because it's been such a long time since that was the case.

I hate media fodder like this against a really good opponent. Gives them fuel. I hope we have some of our own. Don’t need Bama thinking they’re an underdog.

Pat Forde,To distinguish himself from the truck,he added the "e". He still goes on about Schiano.Well,Shitno was the DC of Ohio State at the time, and whenMeyer left,OSU didn't ask him to be interim or the new HC.Day didn't ask him to stay as DC either.A.low-rent person who was fired as Tampa's coach. The players hated him.So he left Tampa with his bar of Ivory soap in his pocket.

@txbo I think Tennessee could beat the elephants if you could bunt in football.

Maybe a screen pass is equivalent to bunting. Watching the aTm game screen passes may work with the up field rush by the elephants.

But like you've said in other posts, Tennessee is a baseball school now. GBO!
The screen (and draw) used to be Majors’ go-to for countering the blitz (see the Miracle in South Bend). Discounting the WR screen - which is a different play entirely- we don’t seem to have that in our arsenal. We do use the QB draw, but again we use it as a regular play and not as a hedge against the rush. Bama unleashed the hounds against A&M and the Aggies used the screen with. Some success. I’d like to see us throw that in with Small taking in to the River.
